A bigger database does not mean every category has complete coverage. The game checks whether your selected rules can finish with the available answers.
This release
The bundled starter contains 500 popular footballers. The merged extended release contains 12,405. Source dates below belong to the records, not the date this page was built. Counts include zero and over-180 stats, so they are not counts of usable scoring answers.

Premier League
Official Premier League ranked-player goals and goal-assist records are requested for competition 1 across all seasons, beginning with the Premier League in 1992. Earlier First Division, cup and European totals do not count. Club filters use official per-club totals. Assist credit follows this source's definition; fantasy-football assists and other providers can differ. We do not independently reconstruct every match event.
Champions League
Aggregate goals and assists follow UEFA's all-time competition ranking, without a season or phase restriction in the request. Do not assume these are main-tournament-only totals or interchangeable with another site's qualifiers policy. Club totals instead sum season rows explicitly requested with phase=TOURNAMENT, using returned season keys from 1992 onward. The literal 2007 key returned no rows in our import. These are provider keys, not a claim to independently complete every historical season.
Historical club assists are incomplete. Early seasons can contain goal rows but no positive assists. A missing value must not be advertised as a verified career zero. Combined goals + assists uses the available component records and inherits these limitations. Club totals may therefore differ from the aggregate scope.
Other categories
Caps, World Cup goals, appearances and clean sheets currently have a small curated answer pool. Some combinations cannot start, even with the extended pack. Unscoped legacy assists are not used as all-competition assists. A comprehensive all-competitions mode requires a separately scoped dataset; adding Premier League and UEFA figures does not establish a career total.
Updates and corrections
Official feed refresh candidates run daily. Validation and review precede publication; failed or suspicious imports retain the last good release. An import timestamp means a source was fetched, not that the provider has incorporated every recent match. No instant-update or complete historical-coverage guarantee is made.
After a scored answer is revealed, open its stat details to see the source, record date, club and data version. The correction link prepares an email containing those details, without participant names or room credentials. Add a supporting source and explain the difference. Reports are reviewed before a corrected pack is released; they never change a live match automatically.
